The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and Dakota Medical Foundation are proud to present the inaugural event in the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Speaker Series: “An Evening with Arthur Brooks” at the Fargo Theater on October 2nd, starting at 7 PM.

Arthur C. Brooks is a distinguished professor at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School, where he teaches leadership and happiness. He is also a renowned columnist for The Atlantic, where he writes the popular “How to Build a Life” column. A #1 New York Times bestselling author of 13 books, including “Build the Life You Want” (coauthored with Oprah Winfrey) and “From Strength to Strength,” Brooks is recognized globally as a leading expert on the science of human happiness. He frequently appears in the media and speaks worldwide to audiences ranging from private companies to universities, public agencies, and faith communities.

This event is also part of the Dakota Medical Foundation’s new Lead with Light leadership program, hosted by Dakota Medical and Impact Foundations. The program aims to teach leaders how to inspire hope where there is doubt, bring civility and love where there is discord, and foster healthy, high-performing environments where those around them can shine. Through this initiative, we aspire to develop thousands of Leaders of Light, igniting a movement to See Light, Be Light, and Spread Light in unique and impactful ways.

The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library’s mission to inspire leadership, promote conservation, and encourage civic engagement is reflected in this new Speaker Series. Arthur Brooks’s work, emphasizing human flourishing, leadership, and the pursuit of happiness, aligns perfectly with Roosevelt’s legacy and the goals of the Lead with Light program. Join us for this landmark event, where we connect the wisdom of the past with the challenges and opportunities of today, inspiring leaders to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
